2024 Election: Mahama beats Bawumia by a huge margin in GhanaWeb’s April Poll
John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and former President of the Republic, has emerged as the victor in the most recent poll conducted by GhanaWeb regarding the upcoming 2024 elections.
The poll featured several candidates including the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer and Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia; John Dramani Mahama of the NDC; Alan Kyerematen, leader of the Movement for Change; Nana Kwame Bediako (Cheddar), leader of The New Force; and independent candidate Dr. Sam Ankrah.
Conducted on GhanaWeb’s website (www.ghanaweb.com), the poll asked readers whom they would support if the 2024 elections were held today.
Out of the 3,139 respondents who participated, a significant majority of 1,898 individuals, representing over 60% of participants, expressed their intent to vote for John Dramani Mahama.
Dr. Bawumia secured second place, garnering over 25% of the poll participants (792 people) in his favor.
Alan Kyerematen, leader of the Movement for Change, claimed the third position with 228 votes, constituting over 7% of respondents.
Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, secured the fourth position with nearly 6% of the participants (174 people) voting for him.
Independent candidate Dr. Ankrah garnered the least support, with less than 2% of respondents indicating their intention to vote for him.
