Tragic Loss: Ghanaian Footballer Hanson Hans Kwofie Dies in Car Accident

The Ghanaian football community is in mourning as former Ghana Premier League player Hanson Hans Kwofie has tragically passed away in a car accident on the Tarkwa-Takoradi road. The incident occurred on June 21, 2024, while Kwofie was driving to his hometown of Dompim Pepesa, resulting in his untimely death at the age of 35.

Kwofie was a prolific striker who made a significant impact in the Ghana Premier League, notably winning the top scorer award in the 2017 season with 17 goals for AshantiGold. He also represented Ghana’s U-20 team, the Black Satellites, on three occasions.

Throughout his career, Kwofie played for several prominent Ghana Premier League clubs, including Medeama, Ashgold, Legon Cities, Bechem United, Heart of Lions, and Aduana Stars. At the time of his passing, he was a player for Birgunj United FC in Nepal.
